Varjo ("Shadow" in English) was formed by Antti Lautala and Henry Walden with a drum machine in 1995. Two EP's, two albums, line-up changes, several tours and loads of gigs later we are in 20093 and the band has written material for a new album. It is primitive, raw, tribal and uptempo - the new birth of Varjo! Then suddenly everything stopped, when shocking news were received on 20th september 2009 Henry Walden had died accidentally in a fire. Varjo decided to split but released the last album "Viimeinen naytos" ("The Last Act"). The surviving members go on to form Silent Scream and release their debut album "In the cinema" in 2010.
